Leak in car, remove carpet and underlay to dry

    Hi

I have a 2000 Audi A4 B5 saloon. There was a blockage in the drainage channel and the passenger front and rear foot well have become saturated with water. I had the car sitting up for a while so now the interior is moldy also.. I have 2 questions,

1 - i am wondering how to remove the carpet underlay and dry it out? or is there a professional service in Dublin that could do this for me? would a valet company do this?

2 - I have cleaned the mold off the interior and roof lining but it has left little black mold spots on the interior and am wondering is there any way to get them off

All your help would be greatly appreciated as the car smells of mould now and the water is becoming stagnant and i need to dry it out quick.

    thanks

    S

    I've been through something similar.
Remove the lot and replace it imo.

Very difficult to get the musty smell out.

Just a bit more detail, on mine I was told that the underlay would pretty much rot if not dried out quickly. I got a wet vac and then a dehumidifier which worked.

It does sound like yours might be too far gone...
