Its actually like meeting a few mates down the pub, well it was around 2007 at the fairly regular beer guts and receeding hairlines beers

Once I put on some clothes and put down the axe I find people relax a little.

I've found people don't look like you think, and you've been pronouncing their user names wrong this whole time.

Other than that, they're great craic

The odds are that Bono and Ryan Tubridy have accounts too. I would, with the crap they get...it' would pass a day away slagging yourself off.

I have never had a conversation regarding boards to anybody in the real world.

How awkward can it get when a bunch of super nerds meet up in a pub, most of them not old enough to drink?
It's like a Nintendo/Linux convention with some Manga fans thrown in.

I have met numerous people from forums/boards I am a member of and most of the time it has been good fun..... usually there is a lot of alcohol involved as well, which is always a good thing...

Everyone in the real world calls me Incy, pronounced like the spider in the rhyme, it was a nickname I ended up with many years back as a shortened version of the username I use every where on the internet....

I find Pat works better than Float in the real world. "Sir", "Boss", "Chief" are also good. I can also deal with ""dumb ****", "****", and "bollox".

You'll have to pronounce the asterixes.
