Hi all, I have a 2002 Teagle S60 fertiliser spreader and the center gearbox housing is after splitting apart (its made of aluminum). I contacted Teagle to get a new gearbox only to be told they are not made anymore so their is nothing they can do! (talk about good back up service!!) Does anyone know of anyone that does gearbox repairs or can build a new housing for this center gearbox? all the gears are good.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Aluminium welding is what you need. I got cast aluminium welded a few years ago and no problems. Just have to find someone that can do it.

Would it not be easier to get one off a scrapped spreader as surly you'll need new gearbox bearings and possibly shims if you go welding at it???

Also I taught crowd had to give 15 years backup in parts???(could be awlful wrong.here though)

98% of these things are off the shelf vs custom to that machine...
Look for any stamp or writing on the gearbox or get onto teagle until they give suppliers name and or details of the ratio of gearbox then should be easier to track down a new part

Ya, very unlikely that Teagle make this gearbox. Is there any markings on it all? It's probably an 'off the shelf' item.

I need one bearing but apart from that I think my best bet is to get someone to weld it. Regarding finding a second hand one, I dont see too many of them shakers around.
