HSCL / CID Query

Hi all, I have searched the forum and see nothing on my exact query. I have contacted the Union rep today by email so I hopefully I will be getting the official line in the coming days but I am looking here to see if anyone has experienced a similar situation to my one.

Covering HSCL leave, in year 2 of 5 years of approved HSCL leave. Overall, this is now my 4th year in school,
    Year 1 - Maternity
    Year 2 - Maternity
    Year 3 - HSCL cover
    Year 4 - HSCL cover.

None of these are my own hours but has anyone applied / enquired about a CID with a similar situation to my own and if so any outcomes to it? I am asking in light of these proposed new changes under HRA.

Obviously I have 3 years left in on my contract but I would love some longer term reassurances and the advantages this entails when it comes to house-hunting, etc.

Looks like I will not be entitled to a CID from talking to the Department but I'll await union confirmation of this.

Any experiences / information people have I would love to hear them. Thanks.

    How is that leave?

    How is that leave?

Teacher leaves the classroom for 5 years to conduct their work. They are replaced. I'm teaching said teachers subjects for the duration of the 5 years.

I assumed it was a form of approved teacher leave but perhaps my reading of leave is wrong.

HSCL is a teaching post despite the nature of the work so that teacher isn't on leave. I don't know how you wouldn't be entitled to CID but you'll need to get the exact details from your union.
