€249 in Argos plus €20 in vouchers

Nexus 7 for €219 plus €20 in vouchers in Argos is much better value. The only thing the Samsung has over the Nexus is the extra screen size.

You're comparing 7 inch for 10 inch. Does not compute. It's an entirely different catagory

Thought I was getting a good deal in PC World on this, guess I could have done better! Live and learn I suppose.

Would anyone know where is the cheapest place for a screen protector and case? Argos seem to be €28 for a case.

Be wary of any groupon technology deals. Google the seller:

    BestBuyPhoto

And make the decision yourself. You're dealing with grey imports, and a company that has 0 rep if things go bad. I'd be very hesitant.

Keep an eye out in Tesco, they sometimes have the cases reduced to €14.

Had this tablet a few days now and not exactly that impressed by it, webpages are often slow to load same with some apps. It could be my router but laptop, games consoles and phone works fine.

played a bit with it in Tesco and seem quite fast in responding and loading pages even the graphic heavy. Thinking of buying one myself but this is putting me of a bit. Let me know if things improve. Could be down to od firmware or something maybe?

Make sure you haven't got power saving on limiting CPU. Try chrome and turn on reduce data usage. Samsung tabs tend to keep a lot more background apps open use the app manager to close them. If youre using an app 2 sd app move the offending app back. If you've moved an SD from another device without formatting it can play havoc with android too.

I was in Currys today, the Samsung tab 4 10.1 was €249.
The sales man said the Samsung tab 4 10.1 PRO was much better value at €319
Can anyone advise me please :)
If I don't get the Pro I'll buy the regular on Komplett
    Thanks

    Many thanks for the tips.

What do you mean by "app 2 sd app"? Should I only install apps on the tablet's storage or is an SD card better? (I put a new Samsung 64gb card in and formatted it).

For an example of the response time, it takes 10-20 seconds for the Youtube app to load up which seems a bit long. I'll check the power saving thing.

I don't think the 4 supports USB OTG.

is there a workaround for it like debugging or would you know?

Have a scan over on XDA Developers, but IIRC it's to do with the chipset and not software. Does the 4 take a micro SD card? That might be the easiest option - USB key that takes a card.

Oh, search by exact model number (SM-T230 or whatever), not the name. They do differ by region.

    Ah ^^ ;)

Wikipedia says it's only the 4G 7" model that supports OTG.

I bought a Micro SD 64gb card and had to format it on the tablet. My laptop only recognizes the card as having a 27gb capacity. Neither my Playstation nor TV recognise the card (they recognise smaller cards)

Don't know if this helps but you might need to format it on the tablet.
