    Hi all anybody read heard or know of updates to this scheme is it in motion any of your thoughts would be appreciated.

    No news that I know of.

    It costs around 175m per year for one year at the moment and an additional one is not afforadable at the moment.

    There are also question marks over the efficiency and regulatory standards of the actual teaching done.

    Also, it is a universal scheme which means a transfers of resources from poorer to richer.

    Nope I don't at all.

    You are getting into ideology which i will stay well clear of.

    However, like free GP care for under sixes, like Child Benefit, it means giving a little to all (even those who can afford to pay) and not giving enough to those who really need it.

    That is generally the goal of such Government policies and is arguably a waste of resources.
