Drill Shat Itself

I have a Bosch GBH 24v sds drill. The chuck has stopped spinning under load.

I opened it up to have a gander at it, and it seems the drill sh1t one of its roller bearings.

I'm pretty s sure I can find a replacement bearing once I know the size, however there are only a few bits of it left (see pic).

Would anybody know the size in looking for?

Other issue is where said bearing belongs. You've posted another picture of the exposed motor and gearing, if anybody could circle the location of the missing bearing, it would be greatly appreciated

I found the following picture by Googling "bosch 24v sds drill" from an ebay ad selling a gearbox for parts.

It looks like the bearing is from the area I've highlighted on your pic here ...

Plus the end of the shaft I've indicated with an arrow looks like it has come out of the slot in the bracket.

Alun, thanks very much. You were spot on, on both counts. Managed to get a parts no from a parts diagram.

Rang Ted Johnsons in Naas. The needle bearing is €6.50, but Bosch charge a €10 handling fee

You might get the same item at a better price from a proper bearing shop, rather than a Bosch dealer. Bosch probably don't make them, it'll be SKF or another bearing maker

Tried them, they go through Bosch, hence €10 handling
