Borrowing from Credit Union

    Hi

I have a question regarding borrowing from a credit union in ROI.

Both myself and my wife live and work in ROI currently but will be buying a house in NI in the near future. We will continue to work and own our house in ROI.

Would it be possible to borrow from a credit union in ROI for home improvements on the NI property?

We want to avoid borrowing in sterling given the exchange rate fluctuations and our earnings in Euro.

Do the credit union normally look for security on a property for those types of loans say 50K?

    Thanks

As each credit union is different, you will have to ask the credit union you are a member of.
