Shelves without drilling holes in the wall?

I can't drill holes in my wall but I need some shelving, I can't afford to sacrifice the floor space by buying a book case so wondered if anyone knew of any alternative ideas? Is there any type of wall shelving that exists that doesn't involve drilling holes? Much appreciated.

You could try using no more nails.

I don't think so... Particularly not for books (you mention book case)

Is this a "not allowed" sort of can't, or a "don't have a drill" sort of can't? There are alternatives to the latter, so you might be able to get around that.

Assuming this is a rental/landlord problem,I had the exact same issue.

My solution was to drill holes in the wall, put up the shelves I needed, then before I moved out, take down the shelves, fill the holes and paint the walls

No shelves, no holes, no problems

Yes it's a landlord problem, but I think I might try what you did. Thanks!
