    40 mins is always risky, imo. That said, if both flights are Lufthansa and the second one is regional, you could be okay.

    LH aren't hardasses or anything.

    Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    You should be ok as it's the same airline. Mention it to the airline staff before you land that you need to connect, they will try and bump you to the top of the plane to get off quickly

    Munich T2 is setup specifically to allow quick connections and the minium time is 30minutes, so youve 33% extra time over that

    If you miss the plane, then they will put you on the next one for free. No hassle and theres info desks there in Terminal 2 that'll sort you out. If the plane departing looks like it'll be late then you should contact the desk in Dublin and they might re-route you on a different flight altogether if it makes more sense (happened to me once flying via Zurich when the 1st flight was delayed, and they then sent me to Dublin via Frankfurt instead, for free).
