Tax credits quetion for married couple

    Hi all here is the situation. the missus is a teacher on 60k and im on 50k . we are both assessed as single people. she is taking unpaid leave in sept for 33 weeks is it worth while transferring what ever credits etc to me over the unpaid leave?

    Yes, but you'll need to be set up for joint assessment asap to be able to do it at the time. Otherwise you'll be able to claim the unused credits back by review after the year is over.
