Hi, starting a new build, and putting a spec together for electrician.

    In terms of audio/vision

Do I need a central hub and run cables from each room back to it?

For speakers what type of cable is best?

    Tv, do I need coaxed /cat 6?

Any suggestions would be really appreciated and hopefully as I go through my build I can help others.

Consider Cat 5 or 6 for broadband and then maybe decide about planning for CCTV, can be either Cat 5 or RG 59 Coax- Siamese cable.

I gather that you need RG 6 for TV from an aerial or dish as the case may be.
I have a dish and an aerial so feeding the CCTV into the TV's in each room was easy, dont know what the option is if u have cable TV from someone
