Tile colour that compliments gray/ dakar kitchen units ?

Planning on a kitchen revamp and going with either a dakar or grey paint colour on the kitchen units, with porcelain tiles on the floor and wood/butchers block type worktops. The thing is most of the tile shops are suggesting pale grey'ish porcelain floor tiles to compliment the kitchen colour scheme but I think it will look cold and a bit bland to be honest. Was think of a cream martial type tile myself, that would have a bit of warmth about it, but would ithe cream look ok with a gray/dakar kitchen ? Or any other options I should consider ?

What type of wood are you using in the worktop

We are thinking oak, but also looking at walnut - what other options could we consider ?

Beech could look good with the grey, oak or native elm with the dakar, not sure how durable walnut would be, if you want a dark wood look at Iroko, very tough and probably the least expensive

Thanks for the suggestions on worktops tabby aspreme, any suggestions on the floor shades to compliment the kitchen unit/ worktop colour scheme - could I use cream tiles with the grey or dakar units and say beech worktops or would paler tiles sit better ?

I think the best way to choose the tiles is to visit a few tile shops , get some samples place them on your kitchen floor and see how they look as tile showrooms are always very well lit and the tiles may look differently in another setting

If you look on google and search for images of colour wheels, look at the wheel and colour adjacent and opposite your colour will match
