What are the tax implications if somebody emigrates half way through a calendar year?

If say you earn 100k (using round numbers for easy of use) per year and you emigrate at the end of June. You would have earned 50k gross up to that point and roughly 30k net. At the end of the year since your net was actually 50k can you claim back any of the extra tax? Or since you are no longer resident here for the remaining 6 months of the year is it negated?
