Looking to back Gary in the 4.35, can anyone tell me the earliest I could get a price as I'm flying early tomorrow morning, would preferably want to back in shop today but I suppose I wouldn't get a price today?

You'd get a price tonight maybe on pp/betfair they usually price up handicaps the night before.

Gary is available to back at 8/1 with Befair's Sportsbook. PP should have the race priced up in the next couple of hours and maybe Boyles.

Why you so mad to get him backed did you hear something?

Decided i'd have a look he appears to have a decent chance, tip or no tip(though it's always a bonus),ran a good race last time out when looking like he could do with a bit further, has the step up in trip tomorrow and he's in a weaker race and has a more experienced jockey. I'm tempted to have an e/w punt :pac:

What's lads opinions on Betfair sportsbook? Don't have an account with them but they seem to price up races early...do they offer generous prices?

I think Berling will outrun his huge odds of 50-1 in the 3.20 at Meydan. His trainer hit the crossbar here last week and she has always maintained the horse has a big race in him at the Carnival. Hardly a confident selection but a small win bet for me.

Themselves and Powers price races up early I found lately.

No harm having an account, it's all about getting value and a price you feel is worth a bet to you.

Meydan 2.45 Jeeraan e/w traveled well lto, getting 6pounds of the fav who beat him last time out , may not be enough to turn around
the form but getting the weight and 3 times the price ill have him each way.

Meydan 3.20 Almoonqith e/w small bet trappy race, but ran well last time out behind a fancy of mine later on in the card

Meydan 3.55 Mubtaahij, thought he won on merit even if Maftool fell out of the stalls, travelled and quickened well

Meydan 5.05 Teletext, even though id imagine he'll improve from this race, 100/30 looks a good price to me as i think he's the best animal in the race, wont be hammered by the jockey to win but may have the class to win anyway

Meydan 6.15 Mushreq ran well last time out , just in front of Almoonqith so his race could be a pointer to this if he goes close, travelled well and @5/1 is soild e/w bet for me

Its awful worrying when one fancies 5 horses in 1 day at 1 meeting!

Thurles 2.05 NAP of the day is Down Ace in the 1st, murdered empire of dirt in a novice chase, jock takes a few pound off and won on her that day, empire of dirt should have won a handicap chase next time out but met the last wrong (entered up this weekend actually) so Down Ace 7/4 with Boyles, when she wins ill put have in my pocket and spread the rest on Meydan lot above! hoe easy it is to be optimistic before they run! :)

Gone for Jockey Doubles today very technical and complicated betting system :P

Aidan Coleman Yabadabadoo 7-1 1st race leicester Lavelle down in distance unexposed
2nd race Leicester Royal Palldium fell last time out 6-1 still fairly unexposed

Paul Townend has two rides at Clonmel Elsie in the first stepping up in distance should help 6-1 and another horse thats unexposed 3.05 Bendala Bleu 10-1 little bits of support already for this one fitness an unknown though.

One for me today, Woodview Prince in the 4.10 Leicester, very strong in market. 6/4 best price now.

Prescott has a horse in the Fontwell bumper out of Sea The Stars called Sea Pride. Small bet on it at 7/2.

Great performance from Berling to finish second to a classy enough rival. Jessica Long has two horses over in dubai and they have finished second in consecutive weeks. Im still hopeful that one of the will win but the odds are surely gone on both now :-(

    Returned 68.00 only though ?
    Why is that?

    5 x 16 = 80 + 1/4 = 20 that is 100.00 for Putin ? + Corporate ew = 10.00 . 110.00 ?
I'm not sure how it works out ?

Your win bet was a loser because both did not win so you're just getting a double on the place part.

Great picking Toby, pity I missed it earlier.

If you do a multiple, if one of them places and all the rest win it's only a place accumulator.

In this case (assuming 1/4 odds) your return is:

    5 X 4 (16/4) + 5 = 25 * 2 (8/4) + 25 = 75

Judging by the return one if not both were 1/5 of the odds.

Cool. Thanks for the explanation. I had info on Corporate from yard , was suppose to '' win 80% sure''
So I doubled it up with Putin as that 6.10 had a lot of poor horses and Putin was busy of late and running decent.

That's a kicker alright, shame the yard were wrong.

When I am doing ew accums I start with 3 or more at reasonable prices, that way if they all place you have a half decent chance at a good return. Last week I did Kalkir, Apache Stronghold, Lord Windemere and Windsor Park, all had decent claims to win but only Apache did win.

I got paid out 22/1 on the place part so 11/1 on my total stake for them all to place.

    BTBW

    5*16/5 + 5 = 21 * 9/4 +21 = 68.25

    Corporate Box returned 9/1.
As stated earlier with one winner you only get paid the place part of the ew. Hope this helps
