Married with kids, no money and constantly dying to ride other women. But cheating is wrong so I don't.

    No bitterness, acceptance.

What has lack of money to do with wanting to ride other women?

I guess you're pretty screwed then!

Probably shouldn't have gotten yourself into this mess in the first place so.

Still you never know.. If you're lucky you'll catch her cheating on you, and will have grounds for divorce on your terms.

To be fair to him.. with marriage and a few kids (maybe a mortgage too) and no money "just walk away" is easy to say.. not so easy to do!

Not in that situation myself but the deck is very much stacked against men in such cases. Walk away means "go rent somewhere but you'll still be paying for this place too", "I'll let you know when/if you can see the kids" and "you'll be paying a lot of maintenance btw"

Life isn't quite as simple as a lot of AH'ers might believe.

Talk to your wife about it? She's not a mind reader! Maybe she's under a load of stress. Stress is a ladyboner killer.

I read your post as saying that lack of money was adding to your desire to ride other women; apologies.

Have you told your wife that you aren't happy? i know from personal experience that this may help the situation and may even turn things around for you. there are two in a relationship and both need to work on things to make things work

My biggest moan from LTR's is having to share a bed.. I like to sprawl!

Also all the usual ones such as listening to your partner, compromise, nagging, "headaches", lifting and carrying things, s**te on the telly and so on..

I'm so glad i'm single right now...

So, what's the deal, OP? Do you not fancy your wife anymore? Or just want other women too? Can you work through it?

Such a hard life to be the man who walks away...it's no less simple for the woman who is left behind with the children to raise alone. BUT - Life isn't simple for anyone, he is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't really. It's not going to be good for anyone, especially the kids if he stays and is unhappy, makes her unhappy and then the kids get unhappy too. Sometimes you just have to make a clean break to make life better in the long run for all.

    Most probably! lol

Wait til the weekend when all the wimmens are out seeing/ogling Jamie Dornan and all the blokes on here wondering where their wives/partners are, will they ever come back and if they do will it be whips and chains time forevermore.

TBF Kaiser, that can work both ways.
Woman is housewife/stay at home mother for the duration of the marraige and raised the kids, kept the home etc.
Marriage goes belly up. She has no career, none. Even if she gets to stay in the family home with the kids(and soooo not wanting to go down this road)but not every woman "gets" the house free and clear even with children under 18 at home. In most cases she gets the option to buy him out(with no job?)or else the house is sold and split.
Thats why so many women stay in marriages even "forgiving" infidelity.
    They cant afford to leave.

A lot of naive people like the OP think a marriage takes care of itself. It doesn't, you have to work at it.

I am very territorial when it comes to bed space, I hate it when the other half tries to roll over or snuggle into me when sleeping, me needs my space!!!

Buy yourself a horse. You'll be able to ride all day and avoid the guilt of cheating.

    OP,

any chance, (I do not know your age) but could this be the start of a mid life crises? Are you going to go out and buy/steal a motorbike, dress all in leather and get tattoos?

I'd assume the OP knew about the whole exclusive commitment thing before he chose to get married, or did the terms of the marriage change without him knowing?

Or is he just fed up, like his wife probably is with a husband with a roving eye who only stays as it's preferable to homelessness? How wonderful.

I think the trend for mid life crises these days is for lads to become MAMIL's (middle aged men in lycra) and go on a mad fitness buzz..

Cycling could be another handy, guilt free ride for you op.

This is Ireland so there's probably a very obvious solution.

Head to the pub with every cent you've got, then keep drinking until it comes to you.
Worked for many generations of happily married Irish men.

I'm in an unhappy relationship with a beached whale. As repulsive as it is I get a bit of sex and the rent is cheaper. I just can't do any better so have accepted my lot and she probably feels the same way.
