How long on average does it take to get energency tax back

    I was emergency taxed fir 3 months, contacted the local tax office and was told last months will be in this months wages and the other two months will be sent out in a cheque, the didnt specify a time scale though

    Current year will resolve through your payslip.

    Previous year will be revenue refund. Depends on local office processing times. Revenue will hold off until employer has filed the P35 for the company (ie if still working there you have received your P60). Deadline for this is 23 February.

    Quickest solution. Register for paye anytime. Once P35 is filed ie you have P60 in your paw and you know you have tax to claim back them go to your paye anytime request a p21 balancing statement which will crystallize a refund. If you include your bank details payment will be sent by EFT. Process usually takes a couple of days.
