Recommend a decent DIY scan tool

    Hi, just looking for opinions on what people would recommend for a usable DIY reader.

    Already have an Autel ms509 but can only read generic engine codes with that and view live data.

    Want something that will read engine codes, abs & airbags.

    Looking at the following...

    Launch x431 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181596558069

    Autel MD702 / MD802

    Any recommendations?

    Cant fault an Autel MD802, does alot more than the others will, I wouldn't consider the Launch stuff, its pure junk :)

    OP, did you buy one of the handhelds that you listed? Does anyone use the Foxwell diagnostics?

    Went with the Autel MD802 Elite All Systems. Very happy with it, has been able to everything needed so far.

    Incorrect there are 2 options within the MD802 range. The '4 Systems' and the 'All Systems'. You can pay for the firmware upgrade on their website or pay extra for the All Systems model when buying.

    Hmm it does appear there is now that option, it wasn't there when I bought my system last year, was just the elite or one of the lesser models 701 etc

    Is there a cheap one that someone could recommend? Just need to reset a airbag light and scan for other faults if there are any?
