    hi there,

we are putting a new kitchen in and taking up floor tiles to replace while we are at it. im wondering when the best time to put in a new floor is? before or after the kitchen goes in? i was thinking a floor first then kitchen?

You can do it either way but my preference is for the floor to go in first and the kitchen on top for the one reason that if you have integrated appliances they are easier to pull out if they are on the tiles. On the other hand, you will have a bigger floor area so it will cost a bit more. When it is finished it will look exactly the same. If you are putting the kitchen in first make sure your tiler can fit the kicker boards properly.
