What is wrong with this country?

I'm sitting in A&E for the last 9 and a half hours. I don't have so much of a problem with that. But a little girl just got sick all over the floor and 45 minutes later the vomit is still there. A cleaner came out after about half an hour to look at it. He wandered off not going to do anything about it. A triage nurse is now on her hands and knees cleaning up vomit. Might I add that this a&e is jam packed all day. Is there not a major fcuking problem here that the cleaner fcuked off and a nurse that could be needed/used to help sick patients had to clean up?

The probably didn't want to touch it, thinking it's infected or something.

Sir, you cannot extrapolate out one subjective incident as an objective assessment of an entire country's condition.

Cleaning staff aren't allowed to clean up bodily fluids. Usually health care assistants would do that, not nurses.

    Hope you're ok.

Don't be worrying about me only a few gallstones causing havoc! Another rant is that I'm perfectly healthy other than needing an ultrasound in the morning to rule out any other problems. But I'm still being kept overnight in a bed that I don't need. Why can't I just go home and come back early? I've never stayed overnight in hospital and I really hadn't ever planned on it!

Probably health and safety stuff, but do not fear OP,many of the AHers appear to be insomniacs, so I'm sure they will keep your spirits up during the night :)

They're not called madames anymore - it's all "pimps" - equality and all that. A&E is the ruler by which a nation should be judged. For every hour you wait, those who rule are defined. 1 hour is alright. 2 hours and they're cnuts. 3 and they don't give two fcuks about anyone. 4 and you know they'd happily shoot the lot of ye. 5 and Apartheid South Africa was a good place by comparison, if you were a poor black person. 6 and not two fcuks do they give for you, your family and anyone you know. No-one has ever sunk to a 7..apart from FG.

Well, we may have to check to confirm that.
