The folks are interested in getting a Netflix account but they have no way of watching it on the tv ie no playstation and the laptop they have doesn't support HDMI.

What is the best value streaming device on the market that is capable of streaming netflix? Are there anything on the market that streams UTV player, 4od etc etc?

If just for Netflix I'd get a Chromecast as it works great casting from the mobile app.

Would a Amazon Fire box work in Ireland?

You can get it to work but it isn't the simplest choice

Netflix works great on a Fire TV in Ireland, ready to go out of the box

Below is a great combination for Streaming and its less than €100 all in!!! I bought it for my mother and with Plex and a few other apps that you need to google it's the bees knees.

    Remote - http://m.gearbest.com/...oards/pp_104419.html

And if your wireless router isn't in the same room then use this for LAN connection
