Adult Pheasants

    Howaya Lads,
    I know some view releasing adult pheasants, as per the previous thread, as being a waste of money but I myself have done it for the last 4 years and have seen a few more young pheasants around (please note that I release mainly Hens) Personally my view is if you release 100 hens and 5 survive to breed then it is a sucess as the stocks will increase over the long term. So my question is which breed of pheasant is the best for rearing young?

    melanistic hen pheasants are ment to be good mothers
