No quality fun times together

    Hi everyone

Going unreg for this one. I'm just looking for a bit of advice about my relationship.
I've been with my boyfriend for 1.5 years and we live/work together. That sounds like it could be overbearing and too much time together, but the problem is I find it's the exact opposite.
We both have different hobbies/other interests which take up time after work so we really only spend time together for 1-2 hours per night. We're both usually tired at this time and just relax in front of the TV discussing what we've been doing with our day.

The weekends are the times where I feel we could be spending quality time together – cinema/dinner/drinks/walks whatever. He agrees to this whenever I suggest an outing. The problem is he will never ever be the person to initiate any quality time together. He says he is quite happy with just the usual tv/talking thing we do on weekdays. I usually.. 95% percent of the time... initiate any bedroom activities too. I just feel that the relationship is... boring. I don't think it's right for me to be the only person initiating any sort of quality time together. I know he loves me and wants to be with me, so I do not feel in any way that he wants out of the relationship. But it does nothing for my confidence if he doesn't seem to want to spend any quality time with me. In fact, this setup suits him extremely well – he spends time on his hobbies and then the girlfriend is just there whenever he wants her.
We have had this conversation about three times and it always ends with him saying he will try harder. That usually lasts about a week and we're back to square one. I want to work on this and I know he wants things to work out too but how do we fix this?
    Any advice appreciated.
