Broken Intercom

    I've an intercom as a doorbell. When someone rings the doorbell I can answer through a phone type handset and they hear my voice through the box outside. Well recently it's stopped working, it still rings when they ring the doorbell but no one can hear me outside.

    I don't even know who I would hire to fix such a thing?

    Any ideas?

    Hi Mr Walsh

    If your intercom is still ringing inside when somebody presses button at outdoor station that indicates that end is ok. Generally when you have no speech it would sound like the speaker unit in the outdoor unit is at fault.
    You might also check that there is no water or corrision damage in the outdoor station.
    Would you know the manafactuer make ?
