What's your everyday look? For me, it's foundation, blusher, liquid eyeliner, mascara and lipbalm or a clear gloss.

    Tell me yours!

Foundation, eye shadow, mascara, either lipstick, or else a lip liner with some clear vaseline over it.

I sometimes wear bronzer and/or blusher but not always and I don't bother with contouring either all that often. I don't know if its just me or if contouring on my face makes no difference? I'm not sure if maybe I'm just not doing it right or what so now I just don't bother and will use a big fluffy brush and a apply a very light amount of bronzer all over my face, but its not every day.

Sometimes instead of a foundation I will wear a BB cream.

I don't always wear make up but when I do it's just a little bit of Lacura concealer pen, I tightline my top lash line and add mascara.

Sometimes I make a baby blue colour out of NYX milk and a navy rimmel eyeliner and use that on my bottom waterline.

Then I use a little bit of the highlighter side of the soap and glory arch de triumph pencil on my cheeks.

I use a little brow pencil too...although it's actually a lipliner that I use :pac:

    It's very simple and quick.

    Foundation
    A little bit of bronzer
    Eyeshadow
    Mascara

Used to wear blusher instead of bronzer but I think bronzer suits me better. Nars Laguna, love it!

Foundation, blusher, define brows, tightline eyeliner (top only), mascara, vaseline or natural toned lipstick, some days I'll pop on a bit of nudey taupey eye shadow too. If I'm going out or to a wedding I do the same but actually look in a mirror when applying eye shadow!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,281 ✭✭✭Valentina

    Primer
    setting powder
    liquid foundation
    setting powder
    blush
    eyeliner
    mascara
if in work I'll do a neutral smokey eye otherwise one with purple/red tones to make my green eyes pop

I think it sounds a lot written down but I can do it all in under 15 mins

What is this witch craft? What's the waterline and contours,? I know what contours means but can it work as a make uo,?

Waterline is the tiny strip of skin between your lashes and eyeball.

Contouring is done by adding darker or lighter colours to specific areas, e.g. Under the cheekbones, along the hairline, bridge of nose etc to make the face look thinner.

Looking at this, I feel a little underdressed. I only wear foundation, anything else and I look too unnatural. I'll wear eyeliner or mascara for special occasions but that's it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,987 ✭✭✭Tilly

    For work its:

    BB\CC cream,
    Top lid eyeliner
    Mascara

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,390 ✭✭✭Stench Blossoms

God I seem way overdone compared to everyone else.

    Primer
    Foundation
    Powder
    Eyebrows
    Light shadow
    Mascara
    Blush
Liner if i'm wearing a lip colour that needs it.
Lipstick - usually Creme Cup, Hug me or Faux.

I usually dont wear daytime make up but if I do its top lid eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss. Have tried wearing daytime bb cream but just didnt feel it was worth the effort.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,710 ✭✭✭shalalala

    Primer
    Foundation
I tend to wear either eyeliner or neutral eye shadow
    Concealer
    Powder
    Blush or bronzer
    Mascara
And lipstick. Usually be a lady or craving. I tend to use different colour lip liners underneath to change the colour

Sounds like a lot but it doesn't take long (unless I screw up my eyeliner)!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,772 ✭✭✭✭fits

I have skin prone to congestion so i dont wear foundation at all.

The most i wear to work is under eye concealer and mascara for sensitive eyes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,821 ✭✭✭fussyonion

How do you get eyeliner to stay on your bottom waterline?
I've tried everything and no matter what I do, it won't adhere. My waterline is wet so a kohl pencil won't "draw" on it.
How do you all do it?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,508 ✭✭✭ShazGV

    Foundation
    Concealer
    Powder
    Blush
    Eyebrow pencil
    Cream eyeshadow (base)
    Eye shadow
    Eyeliner (not every day)
    Mascara

I swear it only takes me about 10 minutes. :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,517 ✭✭✭Sunny Dayz

    Usual for work:
    - Rimmel matte foundation or the new one they have now with the red lid.
    - Collection concealer under my eyes as I am blessed with dark circles.
    - I recently discovered tinting my own eye lashes as they are naturally quite fair but also very long, so I don't bother with mascara which is great!
    - Blusher in Boujouis Rose or a Sleek pink one
    - a lipstick or lip gloss. Pointless really as I usually have a cuppa first thing when I get to work and it's gone by 9.30!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,248 ✭✭✭Slow Show

Foundation, concealer, translucent powder, blush (usually but not always),brow powder, generally a neutral lipstick. Sometimes mascara but I have the worst habit of putting my hands to my eyes and having it get everywhere so I prefer to go without most days. :o I used to wear a lot more during the day; eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, the works but it takes too much time and effort and I like that I actually look different at night, and a bit more natural during day, and the ten additional minutes in bed in the morning. :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,589 ✭✭✭shakencat

    Primer (Laura mercier)
    Bb cream (NO.7 fair)
    Setting powder (No.7 Transluent)
    Bronzer (Nars - Laguna)
    Mascara (Bad lash - benefit)
HD brow kit for my brows!

I use 8 hour cream on my lips for gloss etc :)

Even though my skin tone tends to me ''fair''

I have very sallow skin :\

always confused me and make up artists!!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 768 ✭✭✭PinkLemonade

    I do quite a few steps but its quite fast;
    lip balm
    Foundation
    consealer- under eye and blemish
    powder
    eyebrow powder
    contour powder
    eyeshadow (neutral mattes, softly blended)
    thin gel eye liner
    blush
    highlighter
    Mascara
    lippy!

Takes just over five minutes, seems over kill to contour and eye shadow every day, but those steps take about ten seconds each, thats all!!!

I'm the opposite, foundation looks so unnatural on me...even light ones. I have very little natural redness or shadows or anything on my face so if I wear foundation it just covers it all and makes my face look really flat and unnatural.

How do people keep lipstick on and looking fresh for ages? Mine is always gone within minutes!

Leave the makeup on your lips and apply a little lipliner aswell

When you say "the makeup" do you mean foundation? I dont use foundation, only bb cream sometimes. I already use lipliner but the lipstick always just disappears. I suppose mostly Im in places where Im using my mouth when Im wearing lipstick, like eating out or drinking.

Yeah, I meant foundation, concealer and powder... you only other option is to keep on applying!

Even when I worked with the public I didnt usually wear daytime make up. Only occasionally. And because I dont wear foundation my night time make up is not that extensive either, just eyes and lips usually, although lips wear off.

    Moisturiser
    Foundation
Eyeshadow - Mac's paint pot in Painterly as a base, and I'll add more neutral colours if I want. Otherwise I'll leave it at that.
    Eyeliner on top lid
    Mascara
    Concealer
    Contour - just the cheekbones
Eyebrows - I lightly fill in some gaps with brown eyeshadow
    Setting powder
Maybe some lipstick, if I'm feeling fancy!

All this takes 5-10 mins max. If I'm going "out out", to an event or whatever, I'll use more dramatic eyeliner or stronger eyeshadow to look more done.
My bare skin is sickly-pale, with dark under-eye shadows, so if I don't do at least foundation and concealer I look a bit ill :o I've no problem going out to the shops with a bare face, but if I'm going to work or meeting friends then I'll go the whole hog.

    normal day =
Nip and fab dark circle eye cream
    Hydraluron
    Nip and fab moisture fix
Chanel all in one healthy glow (like a BB / tinted moisturoiser)
    Nyx Concealer
    Mac eyeshadow in naked lunch
    The balm cabana mama bronzer
    Nars orgasm blush
    rimmel eyebrow gel
    benefit push up liner
    dior overcurl mascara

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,691 ✭✭✭Lia_lia

I think the most important thing for me really is mascara. I have extremely fair eyelashes and look a bit dead without it! My eyebrows are generally always tinted so that's grand. I can get away with no foundation, but look better with it on!

My "night out" makeup is not very different to daytime. Usually just add some liquid eyeliner, lipstick and highlighter.

Have you tried a waterproof eyeliner pencil?

I tried this recently and it worked really well; too well actually as I decided to change lip colours and it wouldn't come off! Line lips, apply lip colour. Blot off excess with a piece of tissue. Apply another clean tissue to lips and with a fluffy brush apply a translucent powder through then tissue. Apply another coat of lipstick.

Another method you could try is when lining your lips, fill them in completely with pencil, then go over it with your lipstick.

I use this trick also, it keeps my lipstick on all day!

    My everyday makeup look is:
    Foundation,
    Concealer,
    Powder,
    Small bit of contour,
    Blush,
    Eyeshadow primer,
Taupe coloured eyeshadow on my crease,
Nude coloured eyeshadow on my lids,
    Eyeliner (if I've time),
    Mascara,
    Lipstick.

Gosh, when I list it all out it looks like I wear an awful lot :/

My make up routine varies depending on the answers to "How tired am I?" "How much time do I have?" and "Where am I going?"
Like during the day if I was going to do all I wanted to do itd be
    Primer
    Foundation
    Concealer
    Translucent powder
    Blush
    Brow Powder
    Eyeliner Pencil
    Mascara
Lip colour - tinted balm/lipstick/gloss any of which

Like it looks like a lot but I feel like its not even the amount of products applied, but how they are. Id do these with a very light hand (Though sometimes the eyeliner... :o )

Then at night Id go stronger and add
    Gel eyeliner
    Eyeshadow
Bronzer and Highlight - well Id try and work something out with these but normally its a disaster or I blend so much you cant tell

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,809 ✭✭✭Frigga_92

I just do my eyebrows everyday. My eyebrows consist of actual hair so they're low maintenance. I use my Smashbox brow tech in taupe (the perfect colour for me) and then just put on some lip product, usually Burts Bees, Elizabeth Arden or Nuxe Reve de Miel (my fave).
I don't wear make up to work unless I'm going to court.
I'm lucky with my skin, apart from eczema (which has improved so much over the past 5 years) and a few spots around my mouth and chin from driving a bike, my skin is probably classed as normal to dry.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,331 ✭✭✭Ilyana 2.0

I have pretty bad skin (still, at 23!) so going without make-up isn't really an option for me. It also means that my base is the most time-consuming aspect of my routine because I can't just slap on something and go.

    Primer - MaxFactor Facefinity Primer
Foundation - Laura Mercier Silk Creme
Concealer - MAC Studio Finish and L'Oreal True Match
    Powder - MAC MSF
    Blush - NARS Douceur
    Brows - Sleek Brow Artist
Liquid Liner - Soap & Glory Supercat
    Mascara - L'Oreal Volume Millions
    Lipstick - MAC Brave

Sometimes I might change things up with a red lipstick, or if I'm going out I'll add in contouring, highlighter and a smokey eye.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,572 ✭✭✭Colser

I use dermalogica moisturiser then foundation, bronzer, eye liner, mascara and lip gloss, takes me 2-3 minutes .TBH I only use the same on a night out just take a little extra time/care in applying it. I did go to work without any make up one day during the week as I had a facial in the morning and I dont think I was imagining the second glance from some people , one person said that I looked very cold :pac:

Mascara, tinted balm and a little blush.

When I'm going out its tinted moisturiser or bb cream and some neutral eyeliner on top only, some blush and a little highlighter and lip gloss or sheer lipcolor. I'm wearing less and less as I get older.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,963 ✭✭✭Meangadh

    Foundation
    Eyebrow powder/definer
    Base eyeshadow
    Darker/shading eyeshadow
    Mascara
    Concealer
    Blush
Possibly some lip balm if I think of it.

5 minutes maximum. I'd wear way way more going out, including a longer wearing foundation. I couldn't be bothered day to day wearing a whole lot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39 aisoconnor

Sometimes blur cream if I think of it
Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm
Foundation - Usually L'Oréal True Match or a mix of several bad colour matches I'm trying to use up
Concealer - Collection Lasting Perfection or Catrice Cream Concealer
Brows - PS Love Brow Kit from Penneys
Eye Base - MAC Paint Pot in Painterly
Eyeshadow - Usually a mix of 3 or 4 Urban Decay or Sleek
Gel Liner - MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack
Mascara - Benefit They're Real (or my recent acquisition Max Factor Clump Defy - undecided on this atm)
Pencil Liner in upper waterline - Elizabeth Arden in Smokey Black or Essence Eye Kajal in 010 Black
Pencil Liner in lower waterline - Essence Big Bright Eyes in 01 Hightlight it..nude
    Powder - Rimmel Stay Matte
Sometimes contour - Sleek Contour Kit in Light
Bronzer - Rimmel Multi Tonal Bronzer or Naked Flushed Bronzer
Blush - MUA Blush or Naked Flushed Blush
Highlight - Highlight from Sleek Contour Kit or Naked Flushed Highlight
Lip Liner - Most often Essence Satin Mauve
Lipstick - Most often MAC Blankety

I wear a bright lip a couple times a week and sometimes forego the gel liner but the rest is pretty consistent.
Kinda scary when you list it all out like that, but putting on makeup is the best part of any working morning :)

The everyday 10 minute work routine is as follows:
    Primer-Smashbox
Foundation-Kat Von D lock it foundation
    Concealer- Mac Prolongwear
    Powder- Mac MSF
    Blush- anything really
Setting Spray- Urban Decay All Nighter
    Eyebrow gel- Benefit Gimme Brow
    Mascara- whatever is in rotation
Eyes- for work usually just Benefit cream eyeshadow in RSVP or No Pressure
    Lips- Clarins lip perfector

This is my work routine and lasts my full 14/15 hour days. If I'm off work or heading out I do a lot more. Loads of eyeshadow, liquid eyeliner, contouring, highlighting and bright lipstick. Love playing around with it :)

Nothing. Work in a casual dress office and go to the gym most evenings so no makeup.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 237 ✭✭Allison91

Face:SPF, Primer (smashbox),foundation (chanel vitalumiere aqua),concealer (dermablend), cheek tint (pixi), powder (essence).
Eyes: Primer (smashbox), eyeshadow(naked palette), tight line upper lid, mascara.
Lips: balm and benefit lip tint.
Takes around 20-30 min but will get dressed, brush teeth etc in between eye make up and doing foundation to let the primer sink in a bit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13 Penzo16

Usually wouldn't wear any makeup during the day, but lately with more blemishes on my face I've taken to covering up as opposed getting looked at like I've 6 heads ;)

    Dermaspray
    Moisturiser
    Primer
    NYC BB Creme in light
    Concealer
    Powder
    Brow gel
    Mascara
    Blush
    Lip balm

Go all out on nights out; foundation, dramatic eyes, pop of colour on the lips, bronzer

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,154 ✭✭✭Dolbert

Bit of concealer, fill in the eyebrows, bit of mascara for colour. Might even brush my hair if I play my cards right.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48 doodlebops2015

Depends on the day .. but typical office wear

    Foundation
    Eyebrow powder
    Mascara
    Eye Liner
    Lip Liner
    Lipstick
3 minutes while the hubby is getting the kids into the car.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 509 ✭✭✭NeonCookies

    In about 2 minutes..

Bare Minerals foundation in Fairly Light
KIKO Soft Touch Blush in Classic Rose (love, love, love this!)
Maybelline Superstay 24 Hour Powder in Nude
Some Carmex lip balm, and good to go :)

I love looking different on nights out, and adore doing my eye make up then - dark and smoky! But the odd time I've worn mascara etc. during the day, I realise how often I touch/rub my eyes and it ends up everywhere :o
