Fuengirola (Costa del Sol) is a big place which has, aside from the beach, a water park (slides, lazy river etc), a Bioparc (upmarket zoo), the Miramar shopping centre with a multiplex cinema upstairs, and a kart track on the roof, a McDonalds and a Burger King, open air markets on Tuesday and Sunday, a train station to allow for quick trips into Malaga and Benalmadena (for Tivoli World and the the cable car up the mountain)... :)

I'd recommend the Fuengirola Beach Appts - I have a 14 year old boy who enjoyed the astro turf and teenage friendly atmosphere there last year
