Eurosport saying the Equatorial Guinea supporters are waiting outside the stadium to ambush the Ghana supporters.

    Disgraceful.

Been watching it. Equatorial Guinea fans have been at it all game but with the clock running down and their side losing 3-0 they laid into the Ghana fans, lobbing seats and bottles at them, forcing them to retreat onto the pitch.

Avram grant standing in the centre circle wishing he'd never taken the Ghana job!
What is the story with the low flying helicopter??

You'd be pretty terrified if you were a Ghana fan in the country tonight.

Are they really going to restart this game?

It's a farce now. It should be abandoned. But this is in Equatorial guinea so different rules apply. Wouldnt like to be a Ghana fan indeed. It looks tense there.

    FYP.

I doubt Ghana are going to try to look for more goals considering the circumstances. Will EG? Couldn't this make an already tense situation even worse?

    Bonkers decision.

    WTF is going on now?

Ref ends the game after playing on for just 3 more minutes despite the match having stopped at the 82nd minute. Makes sense.

What was that? Bizarre doesn't even begin to cover it.

Mental mental stuff. There clock was at 82 minutes when the game was stopped 35 minutes ago, the referee was determined to finish it despite the fact that there was a low flying helicopter hovering over the stadium and teargas used on the crowd. When he does finally restart it, the clock's suddenly at 90 and he plays 3 minute injury time.

Interesting if DR Congo will be happy to play the third/fourth place play off and Ghana/their fans still have to play/attend the final..

EG deserve a replay now! What happened to the missing 8 minutes??? They could have got 3 goals in eight minutes even if it was very unlikely. I wonder what the rules say about this. Match stopped at 82 mins. Resumed and the clock was at 90:00 with 3 mins of injury time!

Playing on would have taken some bottle.

Ah, seen from 90+3 , was wondering why the ststium was empty !

The ANC is good for a laugh sometimes. I remember watching one of the matches a few years back, one of the players went down in a heap injured, the physios came on with the stretcher to carry him off and the player's OWN team mates started attacking the physios...it made absolutely no sense.

It was funny to watch as it was so ridiculous, but sad all the same as it really is a reflection on how fcked up the continent is as a whole.

Is crowd trouble and hooliganism not "the English Disease"?

Nope, organised firms might be though.

The problem is this tournament was thrown together on a whim, security measures are very lax, and the whole thing gets ruined by a minority of mindless idiots in the crowd who had probably never seen a game of football before last night. Disgraceful scenes. FIFA needs to take a break from licking Arab arses and step in and make sure this tournament is organized properly and stop CAF from behaving like a reckless dictatorship.

This video shows what happened. CAF officials acting like headless chickens. Match should have been abandoned immediately, surely the ref can do that himself?

They need to push it to a 4 year rotation, every 2 years is crazy.
The only reason it's 2 years is so the CAF can pull in the cash from it (and then that cash will disappear ).

Equitorial Guinea fined 100,000 over this shambles.

Funny listening the commentators about strange decisions by officials in the past in this tournament. Like the one were a goal post broke with 5 minutes to go. Ref added 15 minutes extra time as this was how long it took to repair the post !!

This is the most crazy thing I remember from ANC, forget diving, this is the biggest parasite on the modern game....
