I just noticed on the Ryanair website that they have some flights from Shannon to Manchester and back in the mornings for midweek days between the 17th Feb and 5th of March.

    Seems like a great price!

Is the train station at the airport out of action? Beware.

Manchester is one of the largest airports in Europe, I'm sure they have buses like other airports do.

I went over last week and the train was indeed out of action, they put buses on instead which brought us into Piccadilly station in about 25 mins.

It is like 3 hour walk to train station, better get bus to Shannon.

I went in January and there was a clever sign saying "Excuse our appearance while we make Victoria posh" at Victoria train station!

Lol. The walk from the terminal to the station is basically the same distance as the walk from the Ryanair drop off zone in Dublin to the baggage area.

That's the best thing about flying to Manchester. Terminal 3 is tiny. Flying out of Manchester is a nightmare though.
