Best deal on a laptop for a grand?

    Friend was asking about the best deal on a laptop for about €1K. He's looking at a Dell Latitude 7000 series but they seem expensive to me for a not-particularly well specced machine. I haven't bought anything for a while so I was wondering if anyone can recommend any good deals that are going around at the moment?

    I have an Alienware 17 I'm not using, if that's of any interest to you. i7 4710HQ, 8GB RAM, GTX 765M, 120GB SSD, 750GB HDD. Only thing it needs is a new battery. Dunno if your friends want to buy second hand or not though. If not, have a look at PC Specialist (.co.uk). They're laptops are very much function over form, but they're great value.
