    Cut this short.

PC world trying to repair laptop thats 7 months old.
Laptop has known issue with the whole thing just internally shutting down and refusing to start.. think its fecked.
its inside their 12 month guarentee.

how long before they have to give me either a refund or an exchange. nearly at a month now and still no sign of getting the thing back. very frustrating.

im sure everyone has dealt with them and their knowhow technicians at some point.

Im not looking for anything other than a repair or replace. I think a months notice of repair is rather sufficient.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

There is no fixed term. Send the manager of the branch a registered letter, that you've already had to wait a month for the repair. State that you will give them another 5 working days and if you haven't got it back 100% working by then, you will need a full refund or a brand new replacement.

If they don't comply, go to the small claims court and you are pretty much guaranteed to win the case: a refund of the full sum if you bring along a copy of the registered letter
