It was on liveline recently that you could get a bill of over €3,000 from a mobile dongle as no company (except Vodafone) puts a limit on your bills. I would stay away from the dongle and try another provider other than UPC. Vodafone have deal for fixed line broadband for €35 with 300 gb fair usage and you can get a freesat box separately.

There is a charge of €10 for the next 100 gb etc. Don't think they will cap it but it would be no harm to ring up. How much data would you expect to use?

You can buy a pay-as-you-go dongle. You'll have to shop around for your best local internet provider.

Being honest other mobile broadband companies have a better rate per gb but I wouldn't do business with them. In my mind a fiver extra would be worth it for the extra data. Wouldn't look back myself since I changed.
