rads getting warm with heating switched off

Hi, I would be interested to hear if anyone has experienced the same problem as I am having.

I have a Horstmann channel plus h37xl series 2 electronic programmer used in conjunction with my oil fired central heating.

The programmer seems to work perfect....as in it comes on when it's switched on and off again and works fine on the timer.

The problem is one or two of the rads will heat up during the day or night when they're not set to do so. If I look at the interface on the programmer everything looks to be off yet the boiler is there steaming away.

This has me baffled so would appreciate any advice.

Sounds like your frost stat in your boiler is activated. Does this happen on colder evenings?

Definitely been noticing it more the last month or 2,

Never heard of a frost stat but it sounds like that could be the problem.. Noticed the insulation has been eaten away on the pipes outside as well which would only encourage a frost stat being activated.

I will look into it. Thanks
