Hi do you allow a joint savings account to be setup when both customers have a current account with BOI?

Looking for an account that we can both regularly transfer money into.

    Hi paulb06,

Thank you for contacting us on Boards.

Yes it is possible to open a joint Savings account with us. To arrange this, please book an appointment with your branch that you can both attend, and a representative will be happy to set this up for you. You can book an appointment for your branch at this link

I hope this helps and please do not hesitate to contact us if you need help with any other query.

    Thanks,
    Sarah

Does the appointment need to be made with our branch that we are registered to? My branch does not open on Saturdays which would be the most ideal time.

Also say we have a specific amount setup by direct debit each from our current accounts, can we transfer addiitonal money to this account via 365online whenever we like would that be an option? And could we lodge money into the joint account via our branch?

    Hi paulb06,

Generally the branch would be near where you live or work. Please see here for the list of our branches that would open on Saturdays. If the branches on this list are not near to where you live or work, please mention to them that the Saturday appointments would suit you best and this is why you have chosen to make the appointment there.

In relation to the payments into your savings account, this would depend on the type of account you open. The Advisor in branch will be happy to go through with you the different payment options for our savings accounts and whether it would be possible to transfer online into the account.

    Thanks,
    Sarah
