Would a white ink tattoo with shadow/shading look good?

I love the idea of a white ink tattoo but I'm wondering if shading will actually enhance it or take away from it? I can't find many photos when I search though. Thought I'd ask her for opinions before I go talk to an artist.

Generally those looking for white tattoos is because they want something subtle that isn't immediately apparent. Putting shading on that would change it and make it stand out a lot more.

Depends what you're going for I guess.
