I checked out reviews on google store. The app doesn't work apparently when your near schools.

Looks interesting. Might take quite a while to pick up though.

I googled and read the wiki page on it. I still don't have a clue. Something about writing a yak, which seems to be some kind of anonymous message which can only be read by users in close proximity to you. I have no idea what the point in that is though.

Not sure, I don't use Redit but this is local to your area (you add your location as your base camp' so what you see are what people in your local area / town are posting up.
So a 'nice place' to post whatever you want about people and anyone reading it will know them, because it's all local.

Nah not at all, there's no images or anything like that. It's more akin to an anonymous Facebook status app that only people near your location can see.
