Sony 50" Smart LED TV + SKY = problem

Hi,

I got Sony 50" Smart LED TV KDL50W705BBU and just connected new Sky box through the HDMI cable. Strange thing is happening. When Sky is on I can't access options on my TV.
I tried my Xbox ONE and it is working fine. Ipad, Iphone connected through HDMI no problems. Same with all devices connected through USB.

When I am pressing "options" button on the remote TV is getting the signal (Small light flashes under the tv. Same when I am changing chanels).

I had UPC box before connected via Scart and had no problems.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Hi,

if possible, try to check with a different HDMI Cable and/or try to disable the HDMI-Control Function on your TV and see if this is making any difference

Can you tell us if you try the steps below with your box connected to one of the TV's whether you still experience issues:



Power the box onto standby and switch the TV off completely (not onto standby).
Unplug the Sky+HD box at the mains.
Disconnect the HDMI cable connecting the TV and Sky+HD box at both ends.
Swap the ends around and reconnect the HDMI cable again.
Power the TV on again first and wait 30 seconds.
Power the Sky+HD box on again at the mains and leave for 3 minutes.
Press Sky on the remote.

This should reset the HDCP link between the box and TV.

Did everything like you post. The moment I pressed SKY button on the remote was the moment TV Stop reacting for options button.

Strange thing.
