    How long does it normally take for the Revenue to process 12A forms?I sent mine about two weeks ago and am still being charged emergency tax.Furthermore how long does it take to claim emergency tax back?

    Very busy time offbeat for paye areas, so it could be another few weeks depending on resource levels in your particular tax office.

    Was this your first employment ever, as you only need to complete a form 12a if it's your first employment ever. If it's not call the paye 1890 number with the details you put on your 12a to have it sorted over the phone.
    Re the emergency tax, the 12a or phone call will only sort it for 2015. If you were employed last year you will need to request a review for 2014 to get any overpaid tax back.
