Hi guys, I'm going to contact Optilase this week and set up a consult. Was wondering if anyone had a referral that would save me 100 euro is that right? Is it just a case of quoting the referal when making the appointment or what's the story there?

Also, I am -4.25 and -4.5 and one eye has astigmatism, anyone any ideas how much the surgery on both eyes would cost before I speak to them?

I paid €3290 for Lasik. That included an overall 5% discount their doing at the moment plus €200 off re a Facebook offer. My eyes were -3 both and are now better then 20/20 just two weeks later.

Very happy with the treatment and post care. I have a ref discount here if you want it and I am in Dublin weekly if that helps.

Hey I just had my referral on Sunday im very similar prescription and I have astigmatism which means I'm only eligible for PRK this is cheaper than lasik however recovery is longer. I've been quoted €2899 with the refer a friend the Lasik is €3399 with discount

Optilase have since told me I'm not a suitable candidate, very disappointed with their approach had my consultation on Sunday was told I'd hear from them by Tuesday, eventually I had to ring on Thursday to be told I wasn't suitable no information given only that my consultant would ring me.

Sorry to hear about that. But at least they were obviously thorough in the consultation and found something? There may be others that would of gone ahead?

Had consultation with Optical Express last May, they don't offer finance so started to save for procedure only went to Optilase for another quote to see who I'd go with, I've informed Optical Express that Optilase have said I'm unsuitable have another consultation with Optical Express, Optilase suggested Lens surgery but don't perform this yet themselves and its rather expensive €5000+
