    Hi,
I got NCT failure on brakeline/hose advanced corrosion for two wheels. I understand this needs to be replaced by some non corrosive copper/brass parts. Any idea of cost for one set?

I failed two years in a row for each rear brake line. My mechanic charged me €80 first time round, then €70 the second year. In saying that, where the corrosion was was very accessible, right at the end of the line.

It's a pretty common failure point. Had a 01 Passat fail a couple of years ago for this. Local mechanic fixed for €70 including parts.

Thanks all for the replies. My mechanic is doing it for 35e for each side including parts and service

Is this a fairly new thing? Seems to be more common recently, or is it just me:confused:

My car failed last year on one of the front one. Two mechanics that saw it said it was perfect, absolutely no corrosion. Seems to be a money spinner for them when they can't find anything else wrong.
