    Any help please ?
I Have a grand 94 pajero and she is going well, however the oil temp gauge is not working, the previous owner said it never worked, any experiances with this, would it be the gauge faulty or an oil temp sensor?, any help appreciated please.

Not sure if this is related, but had a problem on 96 pajero where the fuel gauge and coolant temp in centre of cluster did not work, and also fuse for gauges and radio would blow when key was switched on past acc stage. Was told it was instrument cluster. Went to get one from breaker who disagreed, he said to change the fuel sender unit in tank. This fixed both gauges and stopped fuse blowing.

It must be an aftermarket one as I have never see one in them ever, be it an European or Jdm.

Its a Jap import, there are 3 gauges below the radio a turbo boost, an amp meter and the oil temp gauge,

A common mod done by alot of owners the 3 gauges under the radio, could be as easy as a wire cracked off. I imagine the sensor would be fitted on the oil filter housing, there are a couple of places to tap into there.
Have a look behind the gauges then see if wire off, maybe no power also.
