Training course for casual staff - Paid?

Hi all, All casual staff summoned in to undergo training on fire exits and emergency procedures. 2 hour duration. Is there an entitlement to pay? Some people have given up other casual work to attend as they will not be considered for the upcoming season if they do this training. With thanks

Not sure about 'entitlement' but have worked in a few places and we were always told to clock in & out as if it was a normal shift
