    I heard in ireland it is difficult as its kept in families or you have to be in iranrod eiren already....is this true? Is it easier to get emplOyment in U.K in either normal trains or underground?

    The UK is much easier. In Ireland or IE at least you have to be within the company already in another position. I don't know about NIR.

    In the UK the likes of EWS, Freightliner, DRS or GBRf would be much easier than applying for IE.
