Slides to digital?

Hi there, I can't find any info in a search, so maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

I need about 180 slides transferred to digital. They aren't the highest quality, record shots mainly, so a basic service would be fine, somewhere in North Cork would be even finer,but anywhere would do I guess

Any help and advice appreciated

I found a scanner for not much money so I'm going to take a chance on it ...forget thsi request :-)

those scanners are not much cop, but if you're not too bothered re quality, it'll work out much cheaper than most other options i suspect.

If you have a good digital camera and a close focus/macro lens, you can photograph the slides with good results if the lens can focus on the slide when it is close enough to fill the frame.

I see LIDL are selling one in store next week for handy money, might be OK for simply digitising older slides etc.

They're crap. All those cheapo scanners, like the one the OP mentioned, aren't even worth the small amount you'd pay for them. Generally they're just some crummy digital camera stuck inside a housing with a light at the other end.
