    Hi,

Someone on here mentioned that if I go for a TV with integrated satelite tuner, that I would have to return every time the transponder changes...but can anyone tell me how often that tends to happen please?

Once a fortnight, one a month, once a year...

    Ta

Major channels very rarely change. Some of the lesser channels, that you probably never watch anyway, change occasionally but still not as often as some scare mongers make out. Either way it is a simple matter to look up the new settings and scan them in. Have a look at the right-hand column on this site to see the dates of the last changes. (tip click the column header to sort them into most recent) The mistake people make is to do a complete rescan and mess up everything which then takes hours to rearrange.

If you get a TV with Freesat built in any changes are updated automatically but for non Freesat TVs it isn't a big deal because as pointed out, tuning details for the main channels is rare enough.

I have found some cheap Walker tellys on Powercity described as "Saorview & Satellite"...do you know where I would get Saorview and Freesat? Or how to tell the difference?

This will tell you all about Freesat and under products it will list those products approved. Some or none are available here.
