    Hi all,

Was the Irish Pound known as Gaeilge as Púnt or Punt? Saw Púnt on Wiki, didn't look right for some reason. There are references to both on the Net.

    Thanks!

    Punt.
The Munster pronunciation sounded like púnt but wasn't spelt that way.

Correct. They mispronounce most things I find.

Edit: I really liked those coins. Then again, it could be slightly influence by my memory of how many sweets that could buy me.

Ireland's currency, in pre-euro times, was known as the pound or punt. Ukraine's currency is more often called the hryvnia (гривня), although, in Russian, it is known as the grivna (гривна).
