No course will ensure you a job, but whether or not you will be qualified as a social care worker will depend on the level of the course. There are very few jobs in social care unless you have at least a level 8 qualification. A Level 5 is really only entry level to third level. And there's no guarantee of entry to third level with a course from a private provider. PLC colleges have developed links with individual third level institutes but as far as I know, there are no such links with private providers.

    What level is this course?

Hello! I'm just wondering is it difficult to get distinction level?
Currently I'm doing Chilcare QQI/Fetac 5 course. I'm really interesting about the Social Care course. I have around 6-7 subjects and I am interesting about most of them. I am doing Childcare course because I would like to learn more basic information about the children. I decided that Child Development and legislation will be very beneficial for me to get in Social Care course.

You should have a fair idea by now of how you're doing in your different modules, if you've got feedback from your teachers. If there are some modules where you need to catch up, it's not too late to put the work in. But it depends on how much is left to do.

I'm a bit worried that you say you're doing six or seven modules. You need eight to get the full certification.
