Many moons ago :-) I was in a similar position, working out 3 months notice in a company where I was no longer being assigned work for confidentiality reasons. (God know why they did not just let me go on a shorter notice)

I was leaving to go to another industry and a very new role.

    - So I took a day off.
    - Knocked on the door of my next employer and explained the situation.
    - Picked up all their new employee information.
    - Arrange to be emailed a copy of all the relevant procedures that I would need and some product and project information.

I then spent my last month prepping for the new job.

It was a great preparation, with all the information already learned, I was productive very quickly, a reputation I have managed to sustain to this day.

After all a good start is half the battle.

    Wait until you start.

It's normal to feel a bit unmotivated in your last month, but you should make an effort so you don't destroy your reputation and potential reference from this company. Just come in on time, do you work, and try to stay positive.
