Repair inner seam of cycle jacket pocket. B&M source in Dublin?

The breast pocket of my Altura Night Vision jacket has developed a nice 1-inch wide hole on the inner seam (thankfully the stuff that fell through it got caught by the inner mesh lining)

I'd rather not get the pocket stitched but instead would like to keep it glued together if possible.

    Spotted this on Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/McNett-TENACIOUS-Sealing-Repair-Tape/dp/B005BLQTEE

Seeing as I want it this week, is there anywhere in Dublin city center I can pickup something similar? None of the bike/camping shops seemed to have anything useful in stock.

Those pockets are a waste of time. All three in my Altura NV jacket were like that within a couple of months.

Is not putting things in the pockets a realistic solution?

Failing that, Wiggle have a sale on and the NV jacket is only about 50 quid at the minute.

Nah I need the pocket, and not prepared to change the jacket as it's still fine after all these years.

OK I'll buy the stuff on Amazon if noone can suggest a B&M place.

You might have luck in the likes of the scout shop, great outdoors or 53 degrees North or some of Utd vamping places in capel St - Would have thought a goretex repair kit or similar would work

Tried everywhere on Capel St. Seems to be wrong season for this kind of stuff :/

Used tenacious tape previously for a repair job on a tent - fantastic stuff altogether. Bought a roll in 53 Degrees north last year- it doesnt appear to be on website but had it in stock -pricey stuff but well worth it imo.

Curious if it would work in my situation though, as I need to glue two sides together.

I suppose I could use it lengthways along the seam on the inside of the pocket: one half on one side, other half on 2nd side, although it may not last long used like this.

    This might be better: http://www.amazon.co.uk/McNett-Seamgrip-Seam-Sealant-28/dp/B0016HS8XC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1422380607&sr=8-1&keywords=seam+sealant

Nae cheap ... I guess I could get the seam sewn together instead. Quoted approx €8 to sew the entire bottom of the pocket, although the thread would be visible, so less desirable.

Actually just realised the external thread from sewing would render the waterproofing ineffective, so sticking the seal together is really the only option
