Digiweb complete drop of DSL signal every 10 to 20 minutes

We recently changed over to Digiweb broadband from Imagine as part of bundle deal revamping our comms systems and ever since the changeover (a week and a half) we are getting a complete loss of signal every 10 to 20 minutes i.e. the DSL light goes out and we have connectivity. We never had anything like this with Imagine.

We've had them check it and an engineer is due out to check our line today.

Has anyone else experienced this or know what the issue is? I've also heard it happening to some Vodafone customers.

If nothing changed other than the provider then it might just be the profile on the port. Did you get them to reduce the speed down a notch?

It may be a modem issue.
    Did Digiweb supply a modem?

If possible hook the imagine modem up again and edit the log in to Digiwebs.

Digiweb sent us a modem but it was happening with that one as well. We're currently using the Zyxel modem we had previously been using with no problems.

We're changing over to Eircom as our business can't afford to be without consistent BB for payments.

What kind of settings would be on the modem that could affect the signal dropping like this?

No modem settings should cause DSL to drop.
If DSL is on the line you should have a solid light on the modem without drops, no matter what providers log in settings are in the modem.
It looks like an exchange based problem.

That's what I was thinking. It seems to be better today, only 1 drop this morning. However, I've lost confidence in it altogether so I think I'll have to change.
