Water Under Boot in Verso

    Hi,

    Looking for some advice RE a 2010 Toyota Verso that I'm considering buying.

    The car has been on the forecourt since last Summer. Under the floor of the boot, there's a space where water has accumulated. It's not just damp, there's a nice bit of water in there.

    Has anyone come across this before or have any suggestions as to the cause?

    I'd be suspicious. Those 7 seaters are in demand and shouldn't be waiting around this long.
    Could be a poor accident repair.

    Is this a verso-s, didn't think the 7 seat verso actually had a spare wheel well.

    Could also have been valeted and not dried out properly. Either way I'd tread carefully.

    It's a Verso. The space I'm talking about is not where the spare is, it just seems to be extra storage space under the boot.

    Ya, am a bit wary about how long it's been for sale. Going to have a mechanic look it over before I decide anything...
